                Abstract

                This research is aimed at finding the implementation of running dictation strategy in reading comprehension and identify whether running dictation can improve reading comprehension. In achieving the objectives, the researcher used CAR which was conducted to solve the problems faced by the eighth grade students of MTs Sunan Ampel Kedamean Gresik in reading comprehension skill. The researcher got the data of the research from the teacher before and after applied of running dictation strategy in reading. The result of the analysis shows that teacher’s strategy in teaching reading were appropriate and effective for eighth grade students’ of MTs Sunan Ampel Kedamean Gresik in teaching reading. From the score of the reading text, the researcher get the score is more than KKM or 75. And the students that get it are more than 75% too. It demonstrates that running dictation can improve students’ reading comprehension at eighth students’ of MTs Sunan Ampel Kedamean Gresik. Keywords : Running Dictation, Reading Comprehension, CAR
