Abstract
ABSTRACT
One indicator of a region's economic success is economic growth. Economic growth is meaningiess fnot accompanied by an increase in the welfare ofsociety, whether in education,
heaith, a nd purchasing power parity. Accum uladon ofcapitai is very important in encouraging economic growth 4 districts on the island of Madura (Bangkalan, Sarnpang, Patnekasan,
Sumenep). Private investmentand governmentcapitai expenditures have a muitiplier effecton economic growth, employment and national income. Nadonal income can be evaluated from
three aspect-, namely production (GNP), income (GNI.) and expenditure (GNE). Nadonal income can be affected byconsumption,invesonent,government spending and net exports. The potendai of natural, cuitural community, the readiness of the bureaucracy, labor quality, investment climate affect, economic growth and prosperity. Therefore stuid aims conduct mapping from 2002 to 2006 about the the potendal nature, realization ofprivate investments, the realization
of,government capital expenditure, percentage ofemployment in the four districts on the island of Madura as an initial stridy that need follow up study in more detail next and linking
between these variables.
