Abstract

Most students are not interested and have low motivation in learning English.It causes the lack of participation in the class. Therefore, the teacher should use appropriate method to improve their activity in the class. In this study, researcher decided to convey musixmatch application and song to improve students’ activity in reading English learning. This study was held on seventh grade in SMP Nurul Huda. The researcher proposed three research problems. They are: 1)How are the students’ activities in applying musixmatch application and song during the learning process. 2)How is students’improvement in reading activity using musixmacth application and song? 3)What are students’ responses after using musixmatch application and song in reading English?. The design of this study using CAR, with mixed research qualitative and quantitative approach. The quantitative are gained from scores students in reading. The qualitative are gained from observation sheet and questionnaire. The result of this study are the teacher and students’ activities are good.They achieve more than 75% in learning activity. The students’ scores have improvement from 71 (mean before CAR) to 84,3 (mean after CAR). The last, the students gave positive response after using musixmatchapplication and song in reading English learning. It’s conclude that this study has successfully. The result found that students’ more active, interest and enjoy in reading activity using musixmatch application and song. Keywords: Musixmatch application and Song,Reading,Students Activity
