Abstract
Based on the previous research and practice, the present research conducts an investigation code-switching in teaching the Quran and Hadith in Kraton Krian Sidoarjo, to find out the general situation of code-switching to Indonesian and Javanese and attempts to test the positive role of the use of Indonesian and Javanese in the teaching prosess in kraton Krian Sidoarjo. This research focuses on revealing the attitudes of teachers towards the types, the context and the reasons for doing code-switching to Indonesian and Javanese in the teaching process. The study integrates the descriptive qualitative research methods to analyze teacher’s code-switching to Indonesian and Javanese through the teachers recordings. Based on the analysis of the data, this study concludes that the switching to Indonesian and Javanese is prevalent in teaching the Quran And Hadith at LDII and that it plays a positive role in the process of teaching the Quran and Hadith.
