Abstract

Key Words: Teaching Narrative text. Reading is one of language skills that should be learned by students beside listening, writing and speaking. Because it is key of the success in education. So, it is important to teach reading to the students in order they can not only read well, but also comprehend the contents of reading material.This study aims at narrative text teaching reading at MTS AL-HAMIDY RembangPasuruan .The research design that is used narrative text in the study is narrative qualitative. It was conducted to find out the information about teacher preparation. The application, the evaluation at eighth grade of MTS AL-HAMIDY Rembang . The information and the data were obtained through observation; interview both the teacher and the student's.The result of the study shows that using narrative text in teaching reading in improving students reading in the grade eighth at MTS AL-HAMIDY Rembangpasuruanand work well because of the limited facilities of teaching.Based on finding the study, it can conduct: English is one of the subjects that will be akey success in the future, and reading is root science, so we have to know how to read better. A teacher should give right technique reading comprehension that increases the students’ reading ability. For the getting maximal result, need a balance between the preparation and the application, it means that all team (school, teacher, government, and society )must work together.
