Abstract

Background: Management of sick toddlers in basic health services is carried out through the Integrated Management of Sick Toddlers (MTBS) approach including curative, promotive and preventive efforts. MTBS aims to reduce infant and toddler mortality. Purpose: to determine the patient's description (age, gender, weight, height/length, visits, complaints) and assess the implementation of MTBS according to the MTBS chart. Research Methods: This study uses a descriptive type of research with a Cross Sectional design. The subjects of this study came from a secondary source, namely the MTBS format of patients who visited the MTBS poly totaling 50 samples, determined based on simple random sampling. The instrument used is an instrument made by the researcher himself based on the MTBS algorithm. Research Results: The results of this study showed that the overall patients who visited were toddlers, most of the women with more first visits, and most had moderate complaint rates (≥2 - <5). The overview of MTBS implementation for MTBS assessment is mostly complete (85%), classification is 100% appropriate, action/treatment is appropriate complete, and for overall counseling there is. The availability of facilities and infrastructure is obtained.. Conclusion Monitoring, evaluation and supervision need to be improved to provide quality MTBS Keywords: Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI)
