Abstract
Endothelial dysfunction plays an important role in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia leading to production insufficiency and endothelial nitric oxide secretion. This can be corrected with a nitric oxide donor in the form of nitrovasodilators. Such as Nitroglycerin (GTN), Sodium nitroprusside (SNP), S-nitrosogluthatione (GSNO), and Isosorbid dinitrate (ISDN). Nitric oxide donor has a biological effect on fetoplacental circulation, such as uterine artery, umbilical artery and placental blood vessels relaxation, relaxation of smooth muscle of the uterus, preventing microtrombi in fetoplacental circulation, preventing uncontrolled maternal hypertension, increasing amniotic fluid, and preventing fetal growth inhibited.
