Abstract
The research focuses on the struggle of Maud to gain social and political equality for women. The aim of this research is to know and analyze the causes of Maud’s Struggle and how are Maud’s struggle to gain social and political equality for women in “Suffragette” through feminism perspective. By using qulitative method, the researcher analyzes the words, sentences, phrases and conversation that referred to the causes and the struggle of Maud. The result of analysis shows the evidence that there are some causes that motivate Maud to take her struggle, it is because of her friend, family, work and security in society. While in Maud’s struggle, the evidence shows there are some ways done by Maud to gain women sosial and political equality, such as joining women campaign, joining WSPU, and sacrificing her family until she is arrested in the prisson because of her action to demand equality for women.
