Abstract
This research analyzes the multiple intelligences in English Foreign Language (EFL), especially in 8A grade students. It identifies the multiple intelligences based on students’ high score and low score. This research uses descriptive quantitative design. The subject of this research is 8A grade students in SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya. The instruments of the research are Multiple Intelligences questionnaire, IQ result, and documentation of English mid-test score in second semester. From analysis and discussion, it was found that the students’ highest score and lowest score had different type of intelligence multiple intelligences. For highest score students’ there were four type of intelligences which they had. They were interpersonal, naturalist, logical-mathematical, and musical. On contrast, there were also four type of intelligence which they had yet they were musical, interpersonal, naturalist, and visual-spatial and the average of IQ score in 8A grade students were slow learner. In conclusion, the average IQ score of 8A grade students was 86, it means this class belong to slow learner. While, the average of mid-test score of students was 55, and the most dominant intelligence whose above score 75 was musical. Key words: Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Multiple Intelligences
