Abstract
The objectives of this study concern on the idea of racial discrimination on Tom Robinson in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”. This study is a library research which is used qualitative approach. The data were taken from quotation which proofed the Racial Discrimination and The Influence of Racial Discrimination on Tom Robinson. This study applied the concept of Racial Discrimination supported by Theory Racism, Racial Discrimination and Racial Discrimination in Individual. The analysis of this study concern on the different social’s action and juridical’s action between white people and black people. The different of social action show that white people hold the concept of racism therefore by holding concept racism; it can be a reason to do racial discrimination to Negro. Furthermore, the difference of juridical’s action shows Negro get racial although he is not evidence do mistake. Moreover, this study also concern on The Influence of Racial Discrimination which is happened by Atticus Finch’s Family and Tom Robinson’s family because those character relate to this study.
