Abstract
Female body has been constant topic in many literary works due the problems over female body in society. As portrayed in Rupi Kaur’s poetry entitled “milk and honey” much This study analyses how the author described the situation of women who experiences alienation as a sexual objectification by men, body-disciplined and also the representation of female as a cultural symbol according patriarchal society’s belief over women in milk and honey . As a feminist and poet, Kaur also criticized the norms of patriarchal society that suppress women’s freedom in expressing their feelings and determine their future. Feminism as a way to gain equality between men and women, she encouraged the readers especially women to dare to speak up and firmly oppose all the patriarchal society. This study is qualitative research and using theory of feminism in analyzing the data. In this study that is much discussed is about the representation female body and identity seen from feminism perspective. Feminism helps many women to fight again to get equal opportunities in every aspects.
