Abstract
Stres akademik merupakan kondisi tekanan psikologis yang muncul akibat tuntutan akademik yang dipersepsikan melebihi kemampuan individu dalam menghadapinya. Fenomena ini pada mahasiswa ditandai dengan kecemasan, kesulitan konsentrasi, gangguan tidur, serta penurunan motivasi belajar yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental dan prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hipnoterapi terhadap penurunan stres akademik mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest–posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 34 mahasiswa dengan tingkat stres akademik kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala stres akademik yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan nilai Alpha Cronbach’s 0,920 > 0,60. Hasil analisis menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa hipnoterapi berpengaruh signifikan dalam menurunkan tingkat stres akademik mahasiswa.

Academic stress is a psychological pressure that arises when academic demands are perceived as exceeding an individual's coping skills. Among university students, this phenomenon was characterized by anxiety, difficulty concentrating, sleep disturbances, and decreased learning motivation, which may negatively affect mental health and academic achievement. This study aimed to examine the effect of hypnotherapy on reducing academic stress among university students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pre–post test design. The sample consisted of 34 students categorized as having moderate to high levels of academic stress. The instrument used was an academic stress scale that had met validity and reliability requirements with a cronbach’s alpha value of 0.920 > 0.60. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and post test scores. These findings demonstrated that hypnotherapy had a significant effect in reducing students’ academic stress.
