Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media word wall untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas 4 SD pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi "Tempat Tinggal Ku", dengan integrasi aspek kognitif seperti klarifikasi dasar, pembangunan pengetahuan dasar, inferensi, klarifikasi lanjutan, serta strategi dan taktik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi selama lima sintaks PBL dan wawancara mendalam dengan guru serta siswa, hasil menunjukkan siswa berhasil mengidentifikasi konsep dasar tempat tinggal via word wall, membangun pengetahuan melalui diskusi kelompok, membuat inferensi logis dari data, mengklarifikasi pemahaman secara mendalam, serta menerapkan strategi kognitif efektif dikonfirmasi oleh wawancara yang mengungkap peningkatan refleksi dan kolaborasi. Kesimpulannya, model ini efektif mengembangkan berpikir kritis secara menyeluruh, dengan rekomendasi pengembangan instrumen evaluasi lebih komprehensif dan penerapan pada materi lain.

This study analyzes the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by word walls to develop critical thinking skills in fourth-grade elementary school students in the science subject “My Residence,” integrating cognitive aspects such as basic clarification, building basic knowledge, inference, further clarification, and strategies and tactics. Using a qualitative approach through observations of five PBL sessions and in-depth interviews with teachers and students, the results showed that students successfully identified the basic concept of residence via the word wall, constructed knowledge through group discussions, made logical inferences from data, clarified understanding in depth, and applied effective cognitive strategies, confirmed by interviews that revealed increased reflection and collaboration. In conclusion, this model effectively develops critical thinking holistically, with recommendations for the development of more comprehensive evaluation instruments and application to other materials.
