Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) berbasis ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran mendalam terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMK. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematis serta kecenderungan siswa menggunakan AI hanya sebagai alat pemberi jawaban, bukan sebagai media refleksi dan klarifikasi pemahaman. Penerapan AI dalam pembelajaran mendalam diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan reflektif siswa melalui proses umpan balik yang adaptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang memanfaatkan ChatGPT sebagai media klarifikasi jawaban dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan angket respon siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji Independent Sample t-Test, dan uji N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pemanfaatan AI dalam pembelajaran mendalam terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar < 0.001 (p < 0.05). Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 40.61 pada pretest menjadi 82,78 pada posttest, serta diperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0.71 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Chat GPT-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) in deep learning on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of vocational high school students. The background of this study is the low ability of students to solve mathematical problems and the tendency of students to use AI only as a tool for providing answers, rather than as a medium for reflection and clarification of understanding. The application of AI in deep learning is expected to improve students' critical, analytical, and reflective thinking skills through an adaptive feedback process. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that utilized Chat GPT as a means of answer clarification, and a control class that utilized conventional learning. The research instruments consisted of a mathematical problem-solving ability test and a student response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and the N-Gain test to determine student improvement. The results showed a significant effect of the use of AI in deep learning on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, with a significance value of < 0.001 (p < 0.05). Furthermore, there was an increase in the average score from 40.61 in the pretest to 82.78 in the posttest, and an N-Gain value of 0.71, which is considered high.
