Hubungan Antara Fraktur Terbuka dan Tertutup Tulang Tibia Dengan Kualitas Hidup Pasca Operasi pada Pasien Usia Produktif di RSUD R.T. Notopuro Sidoarjo

Fraktur tibia merupakan salah satu fraktur tulang panjang yang paling sering terjadi dan dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup pasien pasca operasi, terutama pada usia produktif. Perbedaan tingkat keparahan antara fraktur terbuka dan tertutup diduga memberikan dampak yang berbeda terhadap kualitas hidup pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fraktur terbuka dan fraktur tertutup tulang tibia dengan kualitas hidup pasca operasi pada pasien usia produktif di RSUD R.T. Notopuro Sidoarjo. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 42 pasien fraktur tibia pasca operasi usia 19–59 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data kualitas hidup diukur menggunakan kuesioner WHOQOL-BREF dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan berada pada usia produktif. Prevalensi fraktur terbuka sebesar 28,6% dan fraktur tertutup sebesar 71,4%. Mayoritas pasien memiliki kualitas hidup baik sebanyak 59,5%, sedangkan kualitas hidup buruk sebesar 40,5%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai p value sebesar 0,004 (p < 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara jenis fraktur tibia dengan kualitas hidup pasca operasi. Pasien dengan fraktur tertutup cenderung memiliki kualitas hidup yang lebih baik dibandingkan pasien dengan fraktur terbuka. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara fraktur terbuka dan fraktur tertutup tulang tibia dengan kualitas hidup pasca operasi pada pasien usia produktif di RSUD R.T. Notopuro Sidoarjo.

Tibial fracture is one of the most common long bone fractures and may affect patients’ postoperative quality of life, particularly among individuals of productive age. Differences in severity between open and closed fractures are believed to result in different impacts on patients’ quality of life. This study aimed to determine the relationship between open and closed tibial fractures and postoperative quality of life among productive-age patients at R.T. Notopuro Regional General Hospital, Sidoarjo. Methods: This study used an quantitative observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 42 postoperative tibial fracture patients aged 19–59 years selected using consecutive sampling technique. Quality of life data were measured using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: Most respondents were male and belonged to the productive age group. The prevalence of open fractures was 28.6%, while closed fractures accounted for 71.4%. The majority of patients had good quality of life (59.5%), whereas 40.5% had poor quality of life. Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.004 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the type of tibial fracture and postoperative quality of life. Patients with closed fractures tended to have better quality of life compared to those with open fractures. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between open and closed tibial fractures and postoperative quality of life among productive-age patients at R.T. Notopuro Regional General Hospital, Sidoarjo.
