Abstract

Pembangunan jalan akses menuju Bandara Depati Parbo berada pada kawasan yang didominasi oleh tanah lempung lunak dengan karakteristik daya dukung rendah serta kerentanan tinggi terhadap longsor. Kondisi ini menuntut dilakukannya analisis kestabilan lereng. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan hasil analisis kestabilan lereng menggunakan Metode Kesetimbangan Batas dan Metode Elemen Hingga. Analisis kesetimbangan batas dilakukan dengan pendekatan Morgenstern-Price menggunakan perangkat lunak StablPro, sedangkan analisis numerik/elemen hingga dilakukan dengan perangkat lunak Plaxis 2D. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Plaxis 2D menghasilkan faktor keamanan lebih tinggi, yaitu 2,6, dibandingkan metode Morgenstern-Price yang berada pada batas minimum 1,5. Perbedaan ini berkaitan dengan kemampuan metode elemen hingga dalam memodelkan perilaku nonlinier tanah serta deformasi secara lebih realistis. Meskipun demikian, kedua metode memperlihatkan kecenderungan pola keruntuhan yang relatif serupa, dan perbedaan nilai faktor keamanan masih berada dalam batas yang dapat diterima.

The site at Depati Parbo Airport, dominated by soft clay soil, necessitates a slope stability analysis for the construction of the access road. This type of soil is characterized by low bearing capacity and high susceptibility to landslides. Therefore, a slope stability analysis is required. This study aims to analyze slope stability by comparing the Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) and the numerical method based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). The methods used in this research include the limit equilibrium method with the Morgenstern–Price approach, assisted by StablPro software, and the numerical analysis using Plaxis 2D software. The results indicate that the Plaxis 2D method produces a higher safety factor value of 2.6 compared to the Morgenstern–Price method, which is at the minimum threshold of 1.5. This difference is related to the ability of the finite element method to model nonlinear soil behavior and deformation more realistically. Nevertheless, both methods show relatively similar failure patterns, and the difference in safety factor values remains within an acceptable range.
