Abstract
Komponen Cylinder Jack sebagai penopang utama Harbour Mobile Crane HMC-8 saat beroperasi, serta tingginya biaya penggantian komponen asli sehingga diperlukan alternatif desain yang lebih ekonomis tanpa mengurangi aspek keamanan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa material AISI 4340 menghasilkan tegangan von Mises sebesar 61,6 MPa, displacement sebesar 0,45 mm, dan factor of safety sebesar 9,702. Sementara itu, material AISI 4130 menghasilkan tegangan von Mises sebesar 69,3 MPa, displacement sebesar 1,221 mm, dan factor of safety sebesar 6,284. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kedua material dinyatakan aman digunakan karena nilai tegangan masih di bawah batas luluh material dan nilai faktor keamanan masih berada pada kategori aman untuk beban statis. Selain aspek kekuatan, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa desain hasil redesign dapat menjadi alternatif yang lebih efisien dari sisi biaya produksi dibandingkan pembelian komponen baru. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam perancangan dan penggantian Cylinder Jack pada Harbour Mobile Crane yang menuntut kekuatan, stabilitas, dan efisiensi biaya.

The Cylinder Jack component as the main support for the Harbor Mobile Crane HMC-8 during operation, as well as the high cost of replacing original components, requires a more economical design alternative without reducing safety aspects. The simulation results show that the AISI 4340 material produces a von Mises stress of 61.6 MPa, a displacement of 0.45 mm, and a factor of safety of 9.702. Meanwhile, the AISI 4130 material produces a von Mises stress of 69.3 MPa, a displacement of 1.221 mm, and a factor of safety of 6.284. Based on these results, both materials are declared safe to use because the stress value is still below the material yield limit and the safety factor value is still in the safe category for static loads. In addition to the strength aspect, this study also shows that the redesigned design can be a more efficient alternative in terms of production costs compared to purchasing new components. Thus, the results of this study can be used as a reference in the design and replacement of Cylinder Jacks on Harbor Mobile Cranes that require strength, stability, and cost efficiency.
