Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode outdoor learning melalui kegiatan eksperimen fotosintesis serta aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar mendeskripsikan apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat terhadap implementasi metode outdoor learning pada muatan IPAS kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SDN GajahBendo. Subjek penelitian meliputi siswa kelas IV, guru kelas, dan kepala sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan outdoor learning ditinjau berdasarkan beberapa indikator, yaitu, aspek interaksi dan komunikasi, aspek kolaborasi dan kerjasama, aspek keterampilan proses sains, aspek sikap dan karakter, yang dimana penelitian itu berfokus pada pengamatan berbagai aspek penting dalam proses pembelajaran yang efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode outdoor learning melalui kegiatan eksperimen fotosintesis pada siswa kelas 4 SDN GajahBendo mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, motivasi, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi fotosintesis. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif dalam mengamati, bertanya, bekerja sama dalam kelompok, serta mampu mengidentifikasi bagian tumbuhan dan menjelaskan proses serta syarat terjadinya fotosintesis. Pembelajaran di luar kelas membuat materi yang bersifat abstrak menjadi lebih konkret dan mudah dipahami. Selain itu, metode ini membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi IPAS secara lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. Kegiatan presentasi hasil praktikum juga melatih kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Secara keseluruhan, outdoor learning dinilai mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, bermakna, dan meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu siswa terhadap proses ilmiah.

This study aims to describe the implementation of outdoor learning methods through photosynthesis experiments and the learning activities of fourth-grade elementary school students, and to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing outdoor learning methods in fourth-grade elementary school science content. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach and was conducted at Gajah Bendo Elementary School. The research subjects included fourth-grade students, class teachers, and the principal. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis of the implementation of learning using the outdoor learning approach was reviewed based on several indicators, namely, interaction and communication, collaboration and cooperation, science process skills, and attitude and character. The research focused on observing various important aspects of an effective learning process. The results showed that the application of the outdoor learning method through photosynthesis experiments to fourth-
grade students at Gajah Bendo Elementary School increased student engagement, motivation, and understanding of photosynthesis. Students became more active in observing, asking questions, working together in groups, and were able to identify plant parts and explain the process and requirements for photosynthesis. Outdoor learning made abstract material more concrete and easier to understand. Furthermore, this method helped teachers deliver science material more effectively and enjoyably. Presenting the results of the practicum also improved students' communication skills. Overall, outdoor learning was deemed capable of creating active, meaningful learning and increasing students' curiosity about the scientific process.
