Abstract

Pemasangan sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) on-grid berkapasitas 4.500 Wp di Kantin Sehat Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya belum menjamin pemanfaatan energi yang optimal, karena daya keluaran PLTS bersifat fluktuatif dan hanya tersedia pada jam matahari aktif, sementara beban kantin memiliki jam operasi dan karakteristik kelistrikan yang beragam. Tanpa pengaturan distribusi daya yang adaptif, energi PLTS berisiko terbuang percuma atau sistem tetap bergantung penuh pada PLN. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengevaluasi kinerja Energy Management System (EMS) berbasis Fuzzy Logic Mamdani untuk menilai pemanfaatan energi PLTS terhadap beban yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kelas suplai daya, yaitu PLTS Prioritas, PLN Tetap, dan Bergantian, berdasarkan kesesuaian jam operasi dan karakteristik kelistrikan peralatan. Data penelitian menggunakan Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) dari Global Solar Atlas yang dikonversikan menjadi daya keluaran Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), serta profil beban listrik kantin. Sistem dimodelkan secara matematis dengan dua skenario, yaitu beban aktual 3.020 W dan peningkatan beban 5.000 W. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan daya MPPT maksimum 3.129,90 W dan daya inverter AC maksimum 3.036,00 W dengan efisiensi konversi 97%. Pada skenario aktual, PLTS menyuplai 260,15 kWh atau 37,59% dari kebutuhan 692,00 kWh, dengan kelas PLTS Prioritas terpenuhi penuh (100%) dan kelas Bergantian terpenuhi 45,8% oleh PLTS, menghasilkan penghematan biaya Rp375.838,70 selama 30 hari dan payback period 10,94 tahun. Pada skenario peningkatan beban, kontribusi PLTS menurun menjadi 35,53%, namun penghematan biaya meningkat menjadi Rp534.126,25 dengan payback period lebih cepat (7,69 tahun). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan EMS berbasis Fuzzy Logic Mamdani yang diintegrasikan dengan skema klasifikasi beban mampu mengevaluasi pemanfaatan energi PLTS secara lebih adaptif dan representatif serta memberikan gambaran potensi pengurangan konsumsi energi PLN dan biaya listrik.

The installation of a 4,500 Wp on-grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) system at the Healthy Canteen of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya does not guarantee optimal energy utilization, because the PLTS output power is fluctuating and only available during active sun hours, while the canteen’s load has varying operating hours and electrical characteristics. Without adaptive power distribution management, solar power plant energy is at risk of being wasted or the system remains fully dependent on PLN. This study aimed to design and evaluate the performance of an Energy Management System (EMS) based on Mamdani Fuzzy Logic to assess solar power plant energy utilization against loads classified into three power supply classes, namely Priority Solar Power Plant, Fixed PLN, and Alternating, based on the suitability of operating hours and electrical characteristics of the equipment. The research data used Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) from the Global Solar Atlas, which is converted into Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) output power, as well as the canteen’s electrical load profile. The system is mathematically modelled with two scenarios, namely an actual load of 3,020 W and an increased load of 5,000 W. The simulation results showed a maximum MPPT power of 3,129.90 W and a maximum AC inverter power of 3,036.00 W with a conversion efficiency of 97%. In the actual scenario, the solar PV system supplied 260.15 kWh, or 37.59% of the 692,000 kWh requirement, with the Priority PV system fully covered (100%) and the Alternating PV system 45.8%, resulting in cost savings of Rp375,838.70 over 30 days and a payback period of 10.94 years. In the increased load scenario, the solar PV system's contribution decreased to 35.53%, but cost savings increased to Rp534,126.25 with a faster payback period (7.69 years). The results showed that the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic-based EMS integrated with the load classification scheme is able to evaluate solar PV system energy utilization more adaptively and representatively and provide an overview of the potential reduction in PLN energy consumption and electricity costs.
