Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis vegetasi mangrove, menganalisis struktur vegetasi berdasarkan nilai kerapatan, frekuensi, dan dominansi, menentukan Indeks Nilai Penting (INP), serta menyusun monograf sebagai sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal. Penelitian dilaksanakan di zona mangrove bagian belakang (landward) pesisir Pantai Oelaba, Kabupaten Rote Ndao menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis vegetasi melalui petak contoh. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi kerapatan, frekuensi, dominansi, dan Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) pada tingkat semai, pancang, dan pohon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sepuluh jenis mangrove, yaitu Aegialitis annulata, Avicennia alba, Bruguiera parviflora, Ceriops tagal, Laguncularia racemosa, Lumnitzera racemosa, Osbornia octodonta, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, dan Sonneratia alba. Pada tingkat pohon hanya ditemukan Avicennia alba dengan nilai INP sebesar 300%. Pada tingkat pancang dan semai, Aegialitis annulata merupakan spesies yang paling dominan dengan nilai INP masing-masing sebesar 53,99% dan 56,72%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disusun sebuah monograf yang memuat hasil analisis struktur vegetasi mangrove sebagai sumber belajar biologi berbasis potensi lokal. Monograf ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pembelajaran, penelitian, serta upaya konservasi ekosistem mangrove.

This study aims to identify mangrove vegetation types, analyze vegetation structure based on density, frequency, and dominance values, determine the Importance Value Index (INP), and compile a monograph as a learning resource based on local potential. The study was conducted in the landward mangrove zone along the Oelaba Coast, Rote Ndao Regency, using a quantitative descriptive method with vegetation analysis techniques through sample plots. The parameters analyzed included density, frequency, dominance, and the Importance Value Index (INP) at the seedling, sapling, and tree levels. The results showed that there were ten mangrove species: Aegialitis annulata, Avicennia alba, Bruguiera parviflora, Ceriops tagal, Laguncularia racemosa, Lumnitzera racemosa, Osbornia octodonta, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, and Sonneratia alba. At the tree level, only Avicennia alba was found, with an INP value of 300%. At the sapling and seedling levels, Aegialitis annulata was the most dominant species, with INP values of 53.99% and 56.72%, respectively. Based on these research findings, a monograph was compiled that presents the results of the mangrove vegetation structure analysis as a biology learning resource based on local potential. This monograph is expected to serve as a reference for education, research, and mangrove ecosystem conservation efforts.
