                Abstract

                Background of this research is the writer want to describe a new phenomenon that can make an easier in teaching listening descriptive by using crossword puzzle game. The objective of the research is to describe the implementation and the student’s response toward the use of crossword puzzle game teaching listening descriptive. The subject of the research is the first grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-HikmahSidorejo. The research methodology is qualitative research, which is used observation checklist, field notes, interview, and questionnaires as the instruments to collect the data. The analysis is done by describing the implementation of teaching listening descriptive by using crossword puzzle game in the classroom, and the student’s responses after following the teaching and learning process. The results of the research are the implementation of the crossword puzzle game in teaching listening descriptive done very well. The last, the percentage of the questionnaires show the positive response from the students. The 55% students state that they feel enjoy and 45% feel interesting to learn listening descriptive by using crossword puzzle game. In addition, the writer finds that 72% students get some advantages and 73% students say that they extremely motivated in learning English after following this game.
