Abstract
The title of this thesis is “The Analysis of Main Character’s Conflict in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. This study focuses to analyze the main of conflict the main character (Napoleon) in Animal Farm. This thesis needs the relevant theories that answer the problem. This research uses elements of literature to analyze Napoleon’s conflict. If a study wants to analyze a literary work, it must use the elements of literature. This research uses James Potter’s Elements of Literature, ,James H Pickering Fiction 50 An Introduction to the Short Story. It focuses to use elements of literature’s; character, characterization, conflict and resolution to analyze the main character’s conflicts. This research is a qualitative research because this study wants to analyze the main character’s conflicts by describing the events which occur in the plot of the story. Then this thesis presents data analysis. After this study gets enough data and the relevant theory, it continues to do the analysis of the main character’s conflicts, that is internal conflict, external conflict and how Napoleon solves the conflict. From the data analysis, it answer statement of the problems. The last part of this study presents the result of the analysis and the conclusion. Keywords : main character’s, conflict.
