Abstract
This study aims to know the kinds of persuasive techniques that are uses to persuade the consumers and to reveals how those persuasive techniques are uses in the catalogue of Jafra beauty product advertisements. This research has two questions that want to reveal. This study is about the kinds of persuasive techniques that are uses in Jafra beauty product advertisements to persuade the consumers and how are those persuasive techniques uses in these advertisements. The objectives of this study are to know the kinds of persuasive techniques that are uses to persuade the consumers and to reveals how those persuasive techniques are uses in Jafra beauty product advertisements. This research uses descriptive qualitative method because the writer can know how to look at the object of more in-depth research. In this research, the researcher found the number of persuasive techniques in the catalogue of Jafra beauty products advertisements namely repetition techniques, strong arguments and clear text techniques, forceful text techniques, personal tone techniques and metaphor techniques. By using those techniques in the advertising can create the advertisement more persuasive and interesting. Keywords:advertisements; beauty product; Jafra; persuasive techniques
