Abstract
Implementation of Strengthening Character Education for The Second Grade Students of Muhammadiyah 29 Surabaya Elementary School In the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia caused the learning system to be changed remotely to "Distance Learning". Changes in the learning system certainly have several impacts. This study aims to describe the implementation of strengthening character education through distance learning. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with technical data collection using triangulation, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research uses data reduction, data presentation, data presentation and verification. The results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that from the five aspects studied there are three sub-aspects that are not implemented properly including discipline, task collection, student independence in mentoring during learning, and facility constraints when carrying out learning. The suggestions for researcher are to increase the indicators in observing students character during distance learning. Keywords : Character, Covid-19, Distance Learning
