Abstract
The researcher uses characterization theory and the motivation theory as a major problem in this Thesis, because it is considered as an important point from the novel A little princess. The characterization of Sara and the influence of Characterization are used as an object. The researcher research the characterization of Sara and The influence of Sara’s characterization to her friends. Sara has exceptional characterization, where the characterization is rarely possessed by most of children. In her younger age she was able to show a good characterization to others. That is what makes her attitude could be a major influence on his friends. In this research the researcher uses a qualitative research method. It is important to describe the explanation of the problems. What is through the dialogues, action, and events in the story the qualitative research. The result of the research of A little princess explains that Characterization becoming influence to others .Those are kindness, patience, bravery. And also Giving Motivation to a servant, a Fool students, children, and make her friends understand about Friendship. So that her friends consider that Sara has a perfect characterization and the characterization can serve as a protector for them. The researcher concludes the perfect characterization can influence others. Key Words: The Influence, Characterization, Motivation
