Abstract

Saat ini, di Kecamatan Pakong, Kabupaten Pamekasan, terdapat pabrik penghancur batu (stone crusher) yang menghasilkan limbah berupa abu batu. Bagi masyarakat sekitar, limbah tersebut umumnya dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan acian plester pada tembok. Namun, secara umum, pemanfaatan abu batu di Kabupaten Pamekasan masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya telah menganalisis kuat tekan dan penyerapan air paving block dengan menggunakan campuran abu tongkol jagung dan sisa pembakaran batu bara. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kuat tekan dan penyerapan air paving block dengan menggunakan campuran abu batu hasil dari batu gunung, dengan mutu K-250. Proporsi campuran abu batu yang digunakan adalah sebesar 0%, 10%, 20%, dan 30%. Metode pembuatan paving block mengacu pada SNI 03-0691-1996. Ukuran paving block yang digunakan adalah 21 cm × 10 cm × 6 cm, dan proses pencetakan dilakukan menggunakan alat press hidrolik untuk mencapai mutu K-250. Total benda uji yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 48 buah. Pengujian kuat tekan dilakukan pada umur 7, 14, dan 28 hari, sedangkan pengujian penyerapan air dilakukan hanya pada umur 28 hari, sesuai dengan SNI 03-0691-1996. Hasil pengujian kuat tekan paving block pada umur 28 hari dengan proporsi campuran abu batu 0%, 10%, 20%, dan 30% berturut-turut adalah 316,3 kg/cm², 473,3 kg/cm², 212,7 kg/cm², dan 244,3 kg/cm². Adapun hasil pengujian penyerapan air pada umur 28 hari untuk proporsi campuran yang sama adalah 6,65%, 5,22%, 12,9%, dan 12,7%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa proporsi campuran abu batu sebesar 10% memberikan hasil terbaik dalam pembuatan paving block, baik dari segi kuat tekan maupun daya serap air.

Currently, in Pakong District, Pamekasan Regency, there is a stone crusher plant that produces waste in the form of stone dust (abu batu). Among the local community, this waste is commonly used as a plastering material for walls. However, in general, the utilization of stone dust in Pamekasan Regency remains relatively low. Previous studies have analyzed the compressive strength and water absorption of paving blocks using mixtures of corncob ash and coal combustion residues. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the compressive strength and water absorption of paving blocks using stone dust derived from mountain rock, with a target strength of K-250. The proportions of stone dust used in the mixture are 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. The paving block production method refers to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 03-0691-1996. The paving blocks used in this study have dimensions of 21 cm × 10 cm × 6 cm and are produced using a hydraulic press to achieve a compressive strength of K-250. A total of 48 test specimens were prepared. Compressive strength testing was conducted at 7, 14, and 28 days, while water absorption testing was carried out only at 28 days, in accordance with SNI 03-0691-1996. The results of the compressive strength test at 28 days for stone dust proportions of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% were 316.3 kg/cm², 473.3 kg/cm², 212.7 kg/cm², and 244.3 kg/cm², respectively. The corresponding water absorption results at 28 days were 6.65%, 5.22%, 12.9%, and 12.7%, respectively. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the optimal proportion of stone dust in paving block production is 10%, as it provides the best performance in terms of both compressive strength and water absorption.
