Identifikasi Jamur Trichophyton sp. pada Kuku Petugas Sampah di Surabaya Pusat

Petugas sampah adalah contoh pekerjaan yang kesehariannya berada di tempat yang kotor, panas dan lembab menjadi faktor yang memudahkan terjadinya infeksi jamur pada kuku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran jamur Trichophyton sp. pada kuku petugas sampah di Surabaya pusat. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan melakukan observasi kuesioner terhadap petugas sampah di Surabaya pusat dan pemeriksaan secara makroskopis dan mikroskopis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petugas sampah di Surabaya pusat. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kuku petugas sampah sebanyak 28 sampel kuku yang kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan pada Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Pemeriksaan dilakukan dengan menumbuhkan sampel kuku pada media SDA dan diinkubasi selama 5-7 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 28 sampel kuku petugas sampah tidak terinfeksi jamur Trichophyton sp. dengan presentase 100%. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kebersihan pada petugas sampah sangat baik dan juga petugas sampah selalu menjaga kebersihan dengan selalu menggunakan alat pelindung diri.

Garbage workers are an example of a job where daily work in dirty, hot and humid places is a factor that makes it easier for fungal infections to occur on the nails. This research aims to determine the description of the fungus Trichophyton sp. on the nails of garbage officers in central Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive in nature by conducting questionnaire observations of waste officers in central Surabaya and examining them macroscopically and microscopically. The population in this study were waste officers in central Surabaya. The samples in this study were the nails of 28 garbage officers who were examined at the microbiology laboratory at Muhammadiyah University, Surabaya. The examination was carried out by growing nail samples on SDA media and incubating for 5-7 days. The data obtained is macroscopic and microscopic of fungi. The results showed that 28 samples of garbage workers' nails were not infected with the fungus Trychophyton sp. with a percentage of 100%. It can be concluded that the level of cleanliness among the waste officers is very good and the waste officers always maintain cleanliness by always using personal protective equipment.
