Hubungan Tingkat Pendidikan Pada Pekerja Ojek Online Terhadap Pengetahuan Penggunaan Sunscreen Sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Kanker Kulit

Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang berada digaris khatulistiwa. Keadaan tersebut menjadikan intensitas paparan sinar matahari yang tinggi dibandingkan negara lainnya. Paparan sinar matahari mengandung sinar ultraviolet, jika mengenai kulit dengan intensitas berlebih akan menimbulkan masalah kulit dan hingga kanker kulit. Banyak masyarakat Indonesia banyak yang belum menyadari hal tersebut, sehingga menghiraukan akan bahaya paparan sinar matahari dan tidak memahami cara penanganan yang tepat. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan pada pekerja ojek online terhadap tingkat pengetahuan penggunaan sunscreen sebagai upaya pencegahan kanker kulit. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observational deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling dengan 59 responden. Data diambil melalui kuisioner yang dibagikan kepada pekerja ojek online. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, 3 reponden (5,08%) tingkat pengetahuan baik, 14 responden (23,72%) tingkat pengetahuan cukup, 42 responden (71,18%) tingkat pengetahuan kurang. Dari uji stastik dengan uji spearman dengan korelasi tingkat pendidikan dan tingkat pengetahuan, didapatkan nilai p value 0,003 artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan pada pekerja ojek online terhadap tingkat pengetahuan penggunaan sunscreen. Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan pada setiap individu akan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah tingkat pendidikan seperti pada pekerja ojek online.

Background: Indonesia is a country located on the equator. This makes the intensity of sun exposure higher compared to other countries. Exposure to sunlight contains ultraviolet rays, if it hits the skin with excessive intensity it will cause skin problems and even skin cancer. Many Indonesians are not yet aware of this, so they ignore the dangers of sun exposure and do not understand the proper treatment method. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of education of online motorcycle taxi workers and the level of knowledge of using sunscreen as an effort to prevent skin cancer. Method: This study is a descriptive observational research. Sampling was carried out by simple random sampling with a total of 55 respondents. Data was taken through a questionnaire distributed to respondents (online motorcycle taxi workers), then it will be tested using the spearman statistical test. This research was conducted in the city of Surabaya with respondents of online motorcycle taxi workers. Results: The results showed that 3 respondents (5.08%) had good knowledge, 14 respondents (23.72%) had sufficient knowledge, 42 respondents (71.18%) had poor knowledge. From the statistical test using the Spearman test with a correlation between education level and knowledge level, a p value of 0.003 was obtained, meaning that there was a significant relationship between the education level of online motorcycle taxi workers and the level of knowledge of using sunscreen. Conclusion: The level of knowledge in online motorcycle taxi workers is not related to the level of education possessed by online motorcycle taxi workers. Knowledge can be influenced by several factors other than education, including the type of work and interests of each individual.
