Hubungan Jenis Nyeri dengan Tingkat Keparahan Osteoartritis pada Pasien Osteoartritis Lutut Tahun 2023 di Rumah Sakit Siti Khadijah Sepanjang

Latar Belakang: Rasa nyeri diartikan sebagai pengalaman sensori dan emosional yang tidak menyenangkan, seringkali disebabkan karena kerusakan jaringan aktual maupun potensial. Nyeri merupakan gejala yang dirasakan hampir setiap penyakit, termasuk osteoartritis. Selama ini, nyeri pada osteoartritis dianggap sebagai nyeri nosiseptif. Namun, terdapat publikasi yang mendukung gagasan bahwa mekanisme nyeri neuropatik berkontribusi terhadap nyeri pada sebagian pasien osteoartitis. Osteoartritis merupakan penyakit yang melibatkan berbagai perubahan anatomi dan fisiologis jaringan sendi. Tingkat keparahan OA dapat dibagi menjadi 5 derajat menurut Kellgren-Lawrence. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, masih terdapat perbedaan hasil penelitian, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan jenis nyeri dengan tingkat keparahan osteoartritis pada pasien osteoartritis lutut tahun 2023 di Rumah Sakit Siti Khadijah Sepanjang. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode crosssectional menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 45 responden dari pasien osteoarthritis lutut di Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah Sepanjang, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil: Responden didominasi oleh wanita berusia >50 tahun dengan nyeri nosiseptif dan tingkat keparahan osteoartritis grade III berdasarkan klasifikasi Kellgren-Lawrence. Hasil uji korelasi spearman didapatkan p = 0,358 (p>0,05) atau tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara jenis nyeri dengan derajat keparahan kellgren-lawrence. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis nyeri dengan tingkat keparahan osteoartritis pada pasien osteoartritis lutut tahun 2023 di Rumah Sakit Siti Khadijah

Background: Pain is defined as an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience, often caused by actual or potential tissue damage. Pain is a symptom experienced in almost every disease, including osteoarthritis. So far, pain in osteoarthritis has been considered nociceptive pain. However, there are publications that support the idea that neuropathic pain mechanisms contribute to pain in some osteoarthritis patients. Osteoarthritis is a disease that involves various anatomical and physiological changes in joint tissues. The severity of OA can be divided into 5 degrees according to Kellgren-Lawrence. Based on previous research, there are still differences in research results, so further studies are needed. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between pain type and the severity of osteoarthritis in knee osteoarthritis patients in 2023 at Siti Khadijah Hospital Sepanjang. Method: This study was conducted using a cross-sectional method with a consecutive sampling technique, involving a sample of 45 respondents from knee osteoarthritis patients at Siti Khodijah Hospital Sepanjang, and analyzed using the spearman correlation test. Results: Respondents were predominantly women over 50 years old with nociceptive pain and grade III osteoarthritis severity based on the Kellgren-Lawrence classification. The results of the spearman correlation test showed p = 0.358 (p>0.05), indicating no significant relationship between the type of pain and the degree of severity according to the Kellgren-Lawrence classification. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the type of pain and the severity of osteoarthritis in knee osteoarthritis patients in 2023 at Siti Khadijah Sepanjang Hospital.
