Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media flashcard berbantu Discovery learning dalam membantu pembelajaran IPAS pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar serta memberikan metode pembelajaran baru yang dapat diterapkan di dalam kelas. Pembelajaran IPAS yang masih didominasi metode ceramah membuat peserta didik kurang aktif dan kesulitan memahami konsep secara konkret. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru kelas dan peserta didik kelas III, dengan fokus utama pada proses penerapan serta dampak penggunaan media flashcard dalam setiap sintak Discovery Learning. Teknik analisis data melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memberikan respons positif terhadap penerapan yang dilakukan. Hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya antusiasme dan keaktifan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, penggunaan flashcard membantu peserta didik memahami materi IPAS secara lebih mudah, menarik, dan konkret. Penerapan model Discovery learning yang dikolaborasikan dengan media flashcard dapat menjadi alternatif metode pembelajaran baru diterapkan oleh guru di kelas.

This study aimed to describe the application of flashcard media, assisted by Discovery Learning, in enhancing science learning at the elementary school level and to provide a new learning method that can be applied in the classroom. Science learning that is still dominated by lecture methods makes students less active and find it challenging understand concepts concretely. Therefore, this study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included class teachers and third-grade students, focused on the implementation process and the impact of flashcard media in each Discovery Learning syntax. Data analysis techniques were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study’s results showed that students gave a positive response to the implementation carried out. This is seen from the increased enthusiasm and activity of students during the learning process. In addition, the use of flashcards helps students understand science material more easily, interestingly, and concretely. The application of the Discovery Learning model with flashcard media is a new learning method in the classroom.
