Abstract

Penguatan karakter religius peserta didik merupakan salah satu fokus utama dalam pendidikan Islam untuk membentuk pribadi yang beriman, berakhlak mulia, dan berperilaku sesuai dengan nilai-nilai ajaran agama dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Lembaga pendidikan madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai tersebut melalui program pendidikan yang terintegrasi dengan budaya dan tradisi keislaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi program pendidikan bernuansa surau dalam penguatan karakter religius peserta didik di MTs Diniyah Puteri Pekanbaru, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaannya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, pendidik, pembina program, dan peserta didik, serta studi dokumentasi terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dan program kelembagaan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara interaktif. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program pendidikan bernuansa surau dilaksanakan melalui integrasi kegiatan keagamaan dalam proses pembelajaran dan budaya madrasah, seperti pembiasaan ibadah harian, kajian keislaman, keteladanan pendidik, serta pembinaan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai ukhuwah, kedisiplinan, dan tanggung jawab. Program tersebut berkontribusi positif terhadap penguatan karakter religius peserta didik yang tercermin dalam peningkatan kesadaran beribadah, sikap sopan santun, dan kepedulian sosial. Faktor pendukung utama meliputi komitmen pimpinan madrasah, peran aktif pendidik, serta dukungan lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat. Adapun faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan variasi latar belakang religius peserta didik

Strengthening students' religious character is a key focus of Islamic education, designed to shape individuals with faith, noble character, and behavior consistent with religious teachings in their daily lives. Madrasahs (Islamic schools) play a strategic role in internalizing these values through educational programs integrated with Islamic culture and traditions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a surau-style educational program in strengthening students' religious character at MTs Diniyah Puteri Pekanbaru and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation.
This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews with madrasah principals, educators, program supervisors, and students, as well as documentation studies of learning tools and institutional programs. Data analysis was conducted through interactive stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources and techniques.
The research results show that the implementation of the surau-style educational program is carried out through the integration of religious activities into the learning process and madrasah culture, such as the habituation of daily worship, Islamic studies, educator role models, and character development based on the values of brotherhood, discipline, and responsibility. The program contributes positively to strengthening the religious character of students, which is reflected in increased awareness of worship, politeness, and social concern. The main supporting factors include the commitment of madrasah leaders, the active role of educators, and support from the family and community environment. Inhibiting factors include limited infrastructure and the diversity of students' religious backgrounds.
