Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam mengerjakan tugas IPAS. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket kepercayaan diri. Observasi dan wawancara digunakan untuk menggali perilaku nyata serta faktor yang memengaruhi kepercayaan diri peserta didik, sedangkan angket di gunakan sebagai data pendukung untuk melihat persepsi diri peserta didik. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara, kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam mengerjakan tugas IPAS masih tergolong rendah. Peserta didik cenderung ragu-ragu, kurang yakin terhadap kemampuan sendiri, serta masih bergantung pada bantuan teman dan guru. Sementara itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik menilai dirinya memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri yang tinggi. Perbedaan temuan tersebut mengindikasikan adanya kesenjangan antara persepsi diri peserta didik dan perilaku nyata yang ditunjukkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penggunaan berbagai teknik pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh gambaran kepercayaan diri peserta didik secara lebih komprehensif dalam pembelajaran IPAS.

This study aimed to describe students’ self-confidence in completing science assignments. The study employed a qualitative approach with 20 students as subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and a self-confidence questionnaire. Observations and interviews were used to explore actual behaviour and factors influencing students’ self-confidence, while the questionnaire served as supporting data to assess students’ self-perceptions. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicated that, based on observations and interviews, students’ self-confidence in completing science assignments is still relatively low. Students tend to be hesitant, lack of confidence, and rely on help from peers and teachers. Meanwhile, questionnaire results indicated that students assess themselves as having a high level of self-confidence. These discrepancies indicated a gap between students’ self-perceptions and their actual behaviour during the learning process. Therefore, this study emphasized the importance of using various data collection techniques to obtain a more comprehensive picture of students’ self-confidence in science learning.
