Abstract
Perkembangan media sosial yang pesat telah mengubah pola interaksi sosial remaja dan memunculkan berbagai bentuk perilaku komunikasi digital, salah satunya body-shaming. Intensitas paparan media sosial yang tinggi tanpa diimbangi literasi digital yang memadai berpotensi meningkatkan perilaku tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh paparan media sosial dan literasi digital terhadap perilaku body-shaming siswa SMKN 4 Kota Pekanbaru.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 99 responden. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari paparan media sosial (X1), literasi digital (X2), dan perilaku body-shaming (Y). Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan SPSS melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, linearitas, uji t, dan uji F.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan media sosial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku body-shaming (t hitung = 2,006 > t tabel = 1,985; sig. 0,048 < 0,05). Literasi digital berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku body-shaming (t hitung = –3,655; sig. 0,000 < 0,05) dengan koefisien regresi –0,353 yang menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital berfungsi sebagai faktor protektif. Secara simultan, paparan media sosial dan literasi digital berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku body-shaming (F hitung = 7,974; sig. 0,001 < 0,05). Variabel literasi digital merupakan variabel yang paling dominan ditinjau dari nilai Beta standar (–0,348) yang lebih besar dibandingkan paparan media sosial (0,191).
Secara substantif, temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan literasi digital yang berbasis pada nilai etika dan pendidikan karakter menjadi strategi penting dalam mencegah perilaku body-shaming dan membangun interaksi digital yang sehat serta beradab di lingkungan sekolah.

The rapid development of social media has transformed adolescents’ social interaction patterns and contributed to the emergence of various forms of digital communication behavior, including body-shaming. High levels of social media exposure without adequate digital literacy may increase the tendency toward such behavior. This study aims to examine the effect of social media exposure and digital literacy on body-shaming behavior among students of SMKN 4 Pekanbaru.
This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with 99 respondents. The variables consisted of social media exposure (X1), digital literacy (X2), and body-shaming behavior (Y). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS through validity, reliability, normality, linearity, partial (t-test), and simultaneous (F-test) analyses.
The results show that social media exposure has a positive and significant effect on body-shaming behavior (t = 2.006 > 1.985; sig. 0.048 < 0.05). Digital literacy has a negative and significant effect on body-shaming behavior (t = –3.655; sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with a regression coefficient of –0.353, indicating that digital literacy functions as a protective factor. Simultaneously, social media exposure and digital literacy have a significant effect on body-shaming behavior (F = 7.974; sig. 0.001 < 0.05). Digital literacy is the most dominant variable as indicated by the standardized beta value (–0.348), which is higher than that of social media exposure (0.191).
Substantively, these findings emphasize that strengthening digital literacy based on ethical values and character education is a strategic effort to prevent body-shaming behavior and to build healthy and civilized digital interaction within the school environment.
