Abstract
Sepak bola merupakan olahraga yang membutuhkan kondisi fisik yang optimal, terutama kapasitas aerobik (VO₂ Max) dan kelincahan untuk menunjang performa selama pertandingan. Salah satu metode latihan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan komponen kondisi fisik tersebut adalah circuit training. Latihan ini mengombinasikan beberapa bentuk latihan dalam satu rangkaian sehingga dapat melatih sistem kardiovaskular, respirasi, serta kemampuan gerak atlet secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh circuit training terhadap peningkatan VO₂ Max dan kelincahan pada atlet sepak bola Klub Laskar Muda Surabaya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-experimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 15 atlet sepak bola usia 17 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengukuran VO₂ Max dilakukan menggunakan shuttle run test, sedangkan kelincahan diukur menggunakan zig-zag run test. Program circuit training diberikan selama 5 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 2 kali per minggu. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-test dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai VO₂ Max meningkat dari 10,3967 ± 1,44076 menjadi 12,9693 ± 2,45305 dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,004 (p < 0,05). Selain itu, rata-rata nilai kelincahan meningkat yang ditunjukkan dengan penurunan waktu zig-zag run dari 544,5333 ± 140,49294 detik menjadi 316,0667 ± 197,82657 detik dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari circuit training terhadap peningkatan VO₂ Max dan kelincahan atlet sepak bola Klub Laskar Muda Surabaya.
Dapat disimpulkan bahwa circuit training efektif digunakan sebagai metode latihan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas aerobik dan kelincahan atlet sepak bola. Program latihan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif latihan fisik yang mendukung peningkatan performa atlet.

Soccer is a sport that requires optimal physical condition, especially aerobic capacity (VO₂ Max) and agility to support performance during matches. One training method that can be used to improve these components of physical condition is circuit training. This training combines several forms of exercise in a single series, simultaneously training the cardiovascular system, respiration, and motor skills of athletes. This study aims to determine the effect of circuit training on increasing VO₂ Max and agility in soccer athletes of the club of Laskar Muda, Surabaya.
This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 15 soccer athletes aged 17 years old who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. VO₂ Max was measured using the shuttle run test, while agility was measured using the zigzag run test. The circuit training program was conducted for 5 weeks, with a training frequency of twice per week. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05.
The results showed that the average VO₂ Max value increased from 10.3967 ± 1.44076 to 12.9693 ± 2.45305, with a significance value of p = 0.004 (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the average agility value increased, as indicated by a decrease in zigzag run time from 544,5333 ± 140,49294 seconds to 316,0667 ± 197,82657 seconds, with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicated a significant effect of circuit training on increasing VO₂ Max and agility in the soccer athletes of the Laskar Muda Club, Surabaya.
It can be concluded that circuit training is an effective training method for improving aerobic capacity and agility in soccer athletes. This training program can be used as an alternative physical training program to support improved athlete performance.
