Abstract

Peningkatan kebutuhan kondensat pada unit refinery PT Smelting memerlukan penambahan fasilitas penyimpanan yang sesuai standar. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang tangki penyimpanan kondensat tipe fixed roof dengan atap kerucut (conical roof) berdasarkan API 650 serta memverifikasi hasil desain menggunakan software AMETank.
Perancangan dilakukan dengan metode one-foot method untuk menentukan dimensi tangki, ketebalan minimum pelat, dan stabilitas tangki. Hasil perhitungan manual kemudian dibandingkan dengan hasil verifikasi AMETank.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tangki berkapasitas ±50 m³ dapat dirancang dengan diameter 4m dan tinggi 4,5m. Ketebalan minimum shell hasil perhitungan manual sebesar 2,21mm, 1,97mm, dan 1,73mm, sedangkan hasil AMETank sebesar 2,07mm, 1,86mm, dan 1,66mm. Perbedaan yang terjadi relatif kecil dan seluruh parameter menunjukkan bahwa desain tangki berada pada kondisi aman dan stabil.

The increased demand for condensate at the PT Smelting refinery unit requires the addition of storage facilities that meet standards. This research aims to design a fixed-roof condensate storage tank with a conical roof in accordance with API 650 and to verify the design results using AMETank software.
The design was carried out using the one-foot method to determine the tank dimensions, minimum plate thickness, and tank stability. The manual calculations were then compared with the AMETank verification results. The research findings indicate that a tank with a capacity of ±50 m³ can be designed with a diameter of 4m and a height of 4.5m. The minimum shell thickness from the manual calculations was 2.21mm, 1.97mm, and 1.73mm, while the AMETank results were 2.07mm, 1.86mm, and 1.66mm. The differences observed were relatively small, and all parameters indicate that the tank design is in a safe and stable condition.
