Abstract

Penelitian eksperimental ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi daya beban bohlam Direct Current (DC) terhadap efisiensi sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) dengan menggunakan dua panel surya jenis Polycrystalline berkapasitas 150 WP yang dirangkai secara paralel sehingga memiliki kapasitas total sebesar 300 WP. Pengujian dilakukan di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya dengan tiga variasi daya beban, yaitu 80 Watt, 130 Watt, dan 225 Watt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada beban 80 Watt diperoleh efisiensi sebesar 10,47% dengan daya keluaran 31,40 Watt, pada beban 130 Watt diperoleh efisiensi sebesar 9,80% dengan daya keluaran 29,41 Watt, sedangkan pada beban 225 Watt diperoleh efisiensi tertinggi sebesar 12,05% dengan daya keluaran 36,15 Watt. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa efisiensi optimum dicapai pada pembebanan 225 Watt karena panel surya beroperasi mendekati titik kerja optimalnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan beban yang tepat merupakan faktor penting dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja sistem PLTS.

This experimental study aims to analyze the effect of variations in Direct Current (DC) light bulb load on the efficiency of a Solar Power Generation system (SPGS) using two 150 Wp Polycrystalline solar panels connected in parallel, resulting in a total installed capacity of 300 WP. The experiments were conducted at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya using three load variations: 80 Watts, 130 Watts, and 225 Watts. The results show that the 80 Watts load produced a system efficiency of 10.47% with an output power of 31.40 Watts. While the 130 Watts load yielded an efficiency of 9.80% with an output power of 29.41 Watts. The 225 Watts load achieved the highest efficiency of 12.05% with an output power of 36.15 Watts. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that optimum efficiency was achieved under the 225 Watts load because the solar panels operate closer to their optimal operating point. These results indicate that selecting an appropriate electrical load is a critical factor in optimizing the performance of solar power generation system.
