IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN SEKOLAH BERBASIS KARAKTER SISWA SD MUHAMMADIYAH 9 SURABAYA

This research was conducted to study the implementation of character�based management in SD Muhammadiyah 9Surabaya. To find out what character values you want to achieve in middle school. Character education can be interpreted as the value of education, character education, moral education,
character education, which increases the ability of students to make bad decisions, support, realize and spread prosperity in everyday life with all my heart. Character education is higher than moral education because character
education not only knows right and wrong, but how students compete well in everyday life so as to increase awareness and understanding as well as caring to support life. The research method uses descriptive qualitative conducted at SD
Muhammadiyah 9Surabaya. In the procedure of conducting research the way to
collect data through observation, interviews, documentation and audio visual.
The criteria used in determining the informants are homeroom teacher, school
counselor, curriculum staff. The interview stage was conducted to obtain
information from schools related to the implementation of school-based
management in SD Muhammadiyah 9Suarabaya. The results of the study give a
description of the special characters that want to be instilled in this school are
creativity, giftedness and morality. Besides, it is also not released the characters
that are fundamental at times such as honesty, discipline and so on.
