Penanganan Dan Pencegahan Diare Pada Anak Balita Di Desa Kedungrojo Kecamatan Plumpang Kabupaten Tuban

Diarrhea is an abnormal or unusual state of stool discharge characterized by an
increase in the volume, squeeze, and frequency of bowel movements more than 3
times a day, in neonates more than 4 times a day with or without red mucus. The
risk factors that cause diarrhea are divided into 3, namely individual
characteristic factors, preventive behavior factors, environmental factors. The
purpose of this study is to find out how to prevent and treat diarrhea in toddlers
while at home. The research design used is descriptive with a case study
approach. The study was conducted from November 28, 2021 to December 4,
2021 with a total of 2 respondents. The unit of analysis of this study is the
classification of diarrhea there are two, namely based on length and based on
pathophysiological mechanisms. On the assessment of diarrhea prevention and
treatment instruments in toddlers can be assessed with good categories: 31-45,
moderate: 16-30, bad: 0-15. The results of the study were obtained by respondent
An. N is often (3), sometimes (7), never (5) with a total score of 28 with a medium
category. Respondent An. R gets results often (8), sometimes (6), never (1) with
a total score of 37 with a good category. On An. N obtained a total score of 28
which is included in the moderate category because it has not implemented clean
water supply measures, zinc tablets are not given during diarrhea. As for An. R
was obtained a score of 37 in the good category because the mother can apply
the prevention and handling of diarrhea in toddlers with the provision of
additional fluids, the mother maintains environmental cleanliness.
