Abstract

The background of this study is based on the phenomenon that learning descriptive text writing as one of the language items that students got difficulty to start it as their comprehend. Especially in VII of students of SMP BINA TARUNA SURABAYA. They could not be interested in teaching learning process, even they got difficulty when they were asked by writer. Discovery learning here is one of the learning model which emphasize in the process of the learning. Students could learn by observing which want to be learnt. They did not need to be worry about the grammar rule at the first time they wrote, so it would be effective for students in seventh grade class of students of SMP BINA TARUNA SURABAYA.
