Perbandingan Efektivitas Terapi Farmakologis dengan Kombinasi Farmakologis dan Fisioterapi pada Penderita Osteoartritis Lutut Derajat Sedang di Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo Tahun 2023

Latar Belakang: Osteoartritis merupakan penyakit degeneratif pada sendi yang menyebabkan morbiditas, terbatasnya aktivitas fisik, dan kecacatan fisik sehingga penderita osteoartritis mengalami penurunan kualitas hidup. Terapi farmakologis dan terapi kombinasi farmakologis dan fisioterapi merupakan pilihan dalam terapi osteoartritis. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas terapi antara pasien osteoartritis lutut yang mendapatkan terapi farmakologis dan terapi kombinasi farmakologis dan fisioterapi di Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif observasional analitik dengan metode pengambilan data secara cross sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan melihat rekam medis dan mewawancarai pasien dengan kuesioner KOOS (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score). Pasien yang diwawancarai merupakan pasien osteoartritis lutut derajat sedang. Uji statistik Mann–Whitney U digunakan untuk melihat perbandingan efektivitas terapi antara terapi farmakologis dan terapi kombinasi farmakologis dan fisioterapi. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok terapi yang ditunjukkan melalui uji Mann–Whitney U dengan nilai p = 0,175 (p > 0,05). Efektivitas terapi farmakologis saja setara dengan efektivitas terapi kombinasi farmakologis dan fisioterapi pada pasien osteoartritis lutut derajat sedang di Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo. Kesimpulan: Keefektifitasan terapi farmakologis dan terapi kombinasi farmakologis dan fisioterapi memiliki hasil yang sebanding. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan klinis pada pasien osteoartritis lutut derajat sedang.

Background: Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that leads to morbidity, limited physical activity, and physical disability, resulting in a decreased quality of life for patients. Pharmacological therapy and a combination of pharmacological therapy and physiotherapy are among the treatment options for osteoarthritis. Objective: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of pharmacological therapy and combined pharmacological and physiotherapy treatment in patients with knee osteoarthritis at Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo Hospital. Methods: This research is a quantitative analytic observational study using a cross-sectional data collection method. Data were obtained through medical records and patient interviews using the KOOS (Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score) questionnaire. The interviewed patients had moderate-grade knee osteoarthritis. The MannWhitney U test was used to compare the effectiveness between pharmacological therapy and the combined therapy. Results: The analysis showed no significant difference between the two treatment groups, as indicated by the Mann-Whitney U test with a p-value of 0.175 (p > 0.05). The effectiveness of pharmacological therapy alone was comparable to the combined therapy in patients with moderate knee osteoarthritis at Siti Khodijah Sidoarjo Hospital. Conclusion: The effectiveness of pharmacological therapy and the combination of pharmacological therapy and physiotherapy is comparable. Therefore, this study can serve as a consideration in clinical decision-making for patients with moderate-grade knee osteoarthritis.
