Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self efficacy dan fear of failure dengan integritas akademik mahasiswa pengguna artificial intelligence (AI) untuk tugas akademik di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel 317 mahasiswa dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Surabaya yang aktif menggunakan AI. Variabel terikat (Vy) dalam penelitian ini integritas akademik pada mahasiswa pengguna AI untuk tugas akademik di Surabaya dengan variabel bebas (Vx1) adalah self efficacy dan (Vx2) fear of failure. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara self efficacy dan fear of failure dengan integritas akademik mahasiswa pengguna AI (R1,2, Y = 0.586; F = 222.664; dan p = 0.000 < 0.01). Sumbangan efektif dari Self efficacy dan fear of failure terhadap integritas sebesar 0.586 atau 58,6%. Self efficacy memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan integritas akademik (t = 11.889; p = 0.000 dan sumbangan efektif 45,8%), sedangkan fear of failure juga berhubungan positif dan signifikan (t = 12.441; p = 0.000; dan sumbangan efektif 47,9%). Subjek penelitian berada pada kategori jenjang integritas akademik sangat rendah 0.3%, rendah 0.9%, sedang 45.7%, tinggi 39.7%, sangat tinggi 13.2%. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan self efficacy dan pengelolaan fear of failure untuk menjaga integritas akademik di era digital, khususnya dalam penggunaan AI untuk tugas akademik di lingkungan perguruan tinggi Surabaya.

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and fear of failure with academic integrity among university students using artificial intelligence (AI) for academic assignments in Surabaya. The research employs a quantitative correlational method with a sample of 317 students from various universities in Surabaya who actively use AI. The dependent variable (Vy) in this study is academic integrity among AI users for academic tasks in Surabaya, with the independent variables (Vx1) being self-efficacy and (Vx2) fear of failure. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show a highly significant relationship between self-efficacy and fear of failure with students’ academic integrity (R₁,₂,Y =
0.586; F = 222.664; and p = 0.000 < 0.01). The effective contribution of self- efficacy and fear of failure to academic integrity is 0.586 or 58.6%. Self-efficacy has a positive and significant relationship with academic integrity (t = 11.889; p =
0.000; and effective contribution of 45.8%), while fear of failure also shows a positive and significant relationship (t = 12.441; p = 0.000; and effective contribution of 47.9%). The subjects fell into the categories of very low academic integrity level 0.3%, low 0.9%, moderate 45.7%, high 39.7%, and very high 13.2%. This study emphasizes the importance of enhancing self-efficacy and managing fear of failure to maintain academic integrity in the digital era, especially in the use of AI for academic assignments within universities in Surabaya.
