Pengaruh Aromaterapi Essential Oil Gyrinops versteegii terhadap Ketelitian Bekerja Mahasiswa Tahun Pertama Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya

Latar Belakang: Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman hayati tinggi, termasuk tanaman Gaharu (Gyrinops versteegii) yang menghasilkan minyak atsiri bernilai ekonomi dan berpotensi memiliki efek relaksasi. Sementara itu, mahasiswa kedokteran tahun pertama rentan mengalami stres yang dapat menurunkan ketelitian kerja. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk dapat mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi essential oil Gyrinops versteegii terhadap ketelitian bekerja. Tujuan: Mengetahui adanya pengaruh aromaterapi essential oil Gyrinops versteegii terhadap ketelitian bekerja mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi eksperimental dengan pendekatan Crossover design. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 34 mahasiswa tahun pertama yang akan menjadi kelompok kontrol sekaligus kelompok perlakuan. Instrumen utama yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Tes Kraepelin. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan uji Korelasi Kendall’s Tau-b dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 26. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemberian aromaterapi essential oil Gyrinops versteegii secara inhalasi yang menyebabkan penurunan terhadap ketelitian bekerja pada mahasiswa tahun pertama Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Kesimpulan: Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian aromaterapi essential oil Gyrinops versteegii dapat menurunkan ketelitian bekerja.

Background: Indonesia has high biodiversity, including Gaharu plants (Gyrinops versteegii) which produce essential oils of economic value and have the potential to have a relaxing effect. Meanwhile, first-year medical students are prone to stress which can reduce work accuracy. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of Gyrinops versteegii essential oil aromatherapy on work accuracy. Objective: To determine the effect of Gyrinops versteegii essential oil aromatherapy on work accuracy of first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya. Method: This study used a Quasi-experimental method with a Crossover design approach. The sample used was 34 first-year students who would be the control group and the treatment group. The main instrument used in this study was the Kraepelin Test. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and Kendall's Tau-b Correlation test with the help of the SPSS 26 application. Results: This study shows the effect of administering Gyrinops versteegii essential oil aromatherapy by inhalation which causes a decrease in work accuracy in first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya. Conclusion: From the results of the study, it can be concluded that administering Gyrinops versteegii essential oil aromatherapy can reduce work accuracy.
