Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dengan work engagement pada karyawan generasi Z di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 213 karyawan yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan accidental sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner melalui google forms dan disebarkan di beberapa sosial media, yang terdiri dari skala gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan skala work engagement. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan statistik uji non-parametrik yaitu dengan uji korelasi Kendall’s Tau-b. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan work engagement, dilihat dari Koefisien Korelasi sebesar 0,511 (r>0,30) dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kepemimpinan transformasional, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat work engagement karyawan generasi Z di Surabaya.

This study aims to examine the relationship between transformational leadership style and work engagement among Generation Z employees in Surabaya. The research employed a quantitative correlational method. The sample consisted of 213 employees, obtained through accidental sampling. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires via Google Forms, shared across several social media platforms. The instruments used included a transformational leadership scale and a work engagement scale. Hypothesis testing was carried out using non-parametric statistical analysis, specifically Kendall’s Tau-b correlation test. The findings indicate a significant relationship between transformational leadership and work engagement, as evidenced by a correlation coefficient of 0.511 (r > 0.30) with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This result suggests that the higher the level of transformational leadership, the higher the level of work engagement among Generation Z employees in Surabaya.
