Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara financial reward dan meaning of work dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja pada driver online X di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah driver online X di Kota Surabaya yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tiga skala psikologis, yaitu skala kepuasan kerja, skala financial reward, dan skala meaning of work. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi untuk menguji hubungan simultan maupun parsial antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara financial reward dan meaning of work secara simultan dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja (R = 0.727, p<0.01). Artinya, semakin tinggi persepsi driver terhadap imbalan finansial yang diterima serta semakin tinggi kebermaknaan yang dirasakan dalam pekerjaan, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kepuasan kerja yang dimiliki. Kontribusi variabel Meaning of Work lebih tinggi (56,9%) daripada variabel Financial Reward (41,5%) terhadap kepuasan kerja. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan sistem imbalan yang adil dan transparan serta penguatan makna kerja pada driver online dapat menjadi strategi penting dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan praktis bagi perusahaan aplikasi dan para driver dalam menciptakan sistem kerja yang lebih sejahtera dan berkelanjutan.

This study aims to examine the connection between financial reward and meaning of work with job satisfaction among online drivers X in Surabaya. This research employed a quantitative method with a correlational design. The participants were online drivers X in Surabaya selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using three psychological scales: the Job Satisfaction Scale, the Financial Reward Scale, and the Meaning of Work Scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression tests to examine both simultaneous and partial relationships among variables. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between financial reward and meaning of work simultaneously with job satisfaction (R = 0,727, p <0.01). This means that the higher the drivers’ perception of the financial rewards they receive and the greater the meaning they find in their work, the higher their level of job satisfaction. The contribution of the Meaning of Work variable is higher (56.9%) than the Financial Rewards variable (41.5%). These findings suggest that improving fair and transparent compensation systems as well as strengthening the meaningfulness of work can be important strategies in enhancing job satisfaction among online drivers. This study is expected to contribute and provide practical recommendations for application companies and drivers in creating a more sustainable and welfare-oriented work system.
