Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the internal conflicts suffered by Natalya in The Proposal, the causes and the resolutions of the conflicts.
Method that is used in this research is qualitative method, to analyze qualitative data in the forms of words, phrases, or sentences are taken from The Proposal. The Research Instrument is researcher herself as human instrument. So in this research the analysis is carried out by collecting, analyzing, verifying data through reading comprehension, identifying data and describe the data into details.
The result of the research indicates that internal conflicts suffered by Natalya in The Proposal are concerning desires, demands and expectations which caused by her feelings of ego, prestige, regret, and love. And it can be resolved by Natalya’s apologizing to Lomov because she had mocked him rudely.
