Abstract
Sigmund Freud is the founder of the psychological approach that said in his case study that some of the actions we take are driven by psychological impulses. The object of this final project is screenplay by Chase Palmer, which is a literary work that shows Sigmund Freud's ideas about the id, ego and superego. This work tells about the main character named Bill, who describes the events that occur while looking for his missing brother. The analysis is taken through the main character's dialogue with other characters and events, character behaviour. This Study focuses on analyzing Bill's characterization of the main character's personality as seen from the description of the id, ego and superego in Chase Palmer's 2011 work entitled IT. This study uses qualitative methods to analyze. The end of this study found that the depiction of Bill's id was shown from his pleasure and desire to find his brother. The depiction of Bill's ego is shown when he wants to solve the problem that happened to his brother, the actions taken by Bill follow the reality which he thinks must be done to stop all the problems they face. The depiction of Bill's supergo which shows how he really cares for his friends who have helped him to find his brother. Bill's most dominant personality structure is the id.
