Abstract

The role of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) as a critical technological tool in modernizing medical information management contributes to improving the quality of patient care and management efficiency in healthcare facilities, including community health centers (Puskesmas) and hospitals. The implementation of EMR impacts patient satisfaction, documentation accuracy, accelerated patient data access, and reduced clinical errors. RSGM IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri, as the only teaching dental and oral hospital in Kediri, has implemented EMR, but a comprehensive evaluation of its implementation has never been conducted. This study aims to evaluate user acceptance of EMR implementation at RSGM IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The method used is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interviews with six medical personnel. The analysis is based on the five main constructs of TAM: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward use, intention to use, and actual use of the system. The results show that medical personnel generally accept EMR, considering it more efficient and accurate than manual systems, and helping to expedite patient care. However, obstacles were identified in the form of limited technological infrastructure, suboptimal system features, and uneven user adaptation. In conclusion, the implementation of RME has a positive impact on the efficiency and quality of medical services, but improvements in training, technical support, and system development are still needed so that the implementation of RME can run more optimally.
